20. Self talk
Be your own best friend. Believe in yourself and be your own hype woman. Everything starts within you.
21. Plan for a change
If you keep doing the things you are doing right now nothing is going to change. You need to sacrifice some things, which can be hard, but it’s holding you off your own plans!
22. Get organized
We worry by nature, this time, try to worry actively.
Plan ahead: Have your life lined up with your goals and how you are going to achieve it. Clear your mind, work with an agenda so you won’t forget things what may be important for you; birthdays, to do list or vacations etc.
Some things you should consider, be aware of the unexpected. As we get older, situations out of your inner circle like death, a sickness or accident can happen where we have no control over.
- Are you insured?
- Do you have savings?
- Did you write a will, for what happens after death. In the Netherlands if you are 21, not married nor have children or heirs your money goes to the government.
23 Creating routines for yourself
After 21 days it becomes a habit. A fit and healthy person has a habit of going to the gym several times a week and eating healthy. Someone who is financially successful or has a freelance side hustle, may wake up extra early to make time to work on their side projects. So think about the results you want, then work out what habits you would need to practice to become that person. What are the risk? Whatever your plan is, you need to go forward.
24. Hey Chef !
Learn how to cook. You are what to eat and it’s cheaper! Why spending money on others if you can do it yourself? So call your mom, aunt or even grandpa’s to get that secret recipe.
25. Heal your relationships with your parents or family members
Bonded by blood forever, and whatever we do, you can’t change the fact they are your parents. When you past your twenties you can’t blame them anymore, because you are able to decide how you deal with it. Sometimes we forget they are getting older also. Healing difficult relationships with our parents can have the power to significantly transform our lives for the better, more for your sake than theirs.
26. Stay away from toxicity
Surround yourself with positivity. Stay away from drugs, alcohol or even people, especially toxic people! Now more than ever it’s the most important time, because you are building your future. People who are energy draining, don’t serve you, and you need this time to spend it on your future. Your surroundings shapes you.
27. Morning routine
How you wake up determines how your day will be. My morning routine begins with prayers, mindfullness, gratitude by sweetens someone else day, without telling them, grounding, exercise and breakfast. A good breakfast, and not that banana on the way to work.
28. Faith
Faith is something you believe in without scientifically proven as you can’t see God. I’m religious and every year, especially after or during Ramadan, during my prayers and how impossible they might be, are being heard and really come through and I don’t believe it’s by accident.
29. Be kind to others
We all carry a baggage. People who are injured are easily recognized by an equipment like an wheelchair for example. How about a person dealing with situations that isn’t visible? So be kind!
30. Laws and rules
Know your rights! Some of us are suffering and missing out just because they don’t know what the rules are.
