Balance through storm1 min read

Balance in Chaos

Some periods don’t ask for your permission. Things that happen outside your control, like a loved one that became sick, a heart break or a lot of social events in a same month and they just arrive full, fast, and overwhelming. You move from one thing to the next. You show up. You keep going. And somewhere in between all of that you’re so tired, but you ignore it and keep crossing your boundaries. Not completely. Just enough to notice it later. That quiet disconnection.

So I stopped trying to “control the chaos.” And started focusing on something else:

Staying balanced within it.

Balance Doesn’t Mean Everything Is Calm

That’s the first thing I had to understand. Balance isn’t a perfect routine. It’s not having everything figured out. It’s being able to come back to yourself
even when life feels messy.

Even when your mind is full. Even when things don’t slow down.

What Helps Me Stay Grounded

These are small things.
But they make the biggest difference.

🤍I pause — even when I feel like I don’t have time
Especially then. Just one breath. One moment of awareness. It interrupts the rush.

🤍I check in with myself
When my thoughts are everywhere, I ground myself physically. Relax my shoulders. Slow my breathing. It sounds simple but it works!

🤍 I try let go of doing everything perfectly
Some days are not for perfection. They’re for showing up in the best way you can. And that’s enough.

🤍I protect small moments for myself
Not big routines. Not hours. Just something small that’s mine. A quiet moment. A reset. No noise. No expectations.

The Shift That Changed Everything

I stopped asking:
“How do I get through this?”

And started asking:
“How do I stay connected to myself while going through this?”

That’s where the balance is.

Final Thought

Life won’t always slow down for you. But you can slow down within it. Even for a moment. And sometimes that’s all you need to find your way back to yourself. When the storm is over? Don’t forget to reward yourself for it! You did it! So celebrate it with a guilty pleasure, a spa day with the girls or a weekend away. Whatever it is, make sure you schedule me time without thinking of others.

If you’re reading this and you feel like how am I going to find my way back? We are here to help you stay grounded!

Trouble with my name? Don’t worry, you’re certainly not the only one. I respond to Natrah. A globetrotter who has changed her dreams into goals, is eager to learn and turns her passion into work so she doesn’t have to “work” a single day.
