# Let It Go: Peace Begins Where Control Ends1 min read

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Much of our suffering comes from trying to control things that were never truly within our control. We try to control outcomes, timing, people, and situations because uncertainty makes us uncomfortable. We replay conversations in our minds, overthink future scenarios, and hold on tightly to things we fear losing. Somewhere along the way, we convince ourselves that control will protect us from pain.

But often, it does the opposite.

The more we try to force life, the more exhausted we become. Overthinking steals our peace. Attachment creates anxiety. Constantly trying to manage everything leaves little room to simply breathe and trust. The truth is, not everything is ours to carry.

We cannot control how others behave. We cannot force clarity, love, honesty, or perfect timing. We cannot rewrite the past or predict every outcome. And the sooner we accept this, the lighter life begins to feel.

Letting go does not mean giving up. It means releasing the emotional weight that drains your spirit. It means understanding that peace is more valuable than constantly trying to hold everything together.

There is freedom in surrender. Not surrendering your dreams, but surrendering the need to control every detail of how life unfolds. Sometimes the greatest healing begins when we stop resisting reality and start trusting the process a little more.

Because peace is not found in control.
It is found in acceptance. And maybe that is the reminder we all need sometimes:

What is meant for you will not pass you by.
What leaves was never meant to stay forever.
And what truly belongs to you will arrive in its own time.

So breathe deeply. Release the pressure.
And let go of what was never yours to control.
Tawaqqal, babe 🤍 Allah SWT knows best!

Love,

Trouble with my name? Don’t worry, you’re certainly not the only one. I respond to Natrah. A globetrotter who has changed her dreams into goals, is eager to learn and turns her passion into work so she doesn’t have to “work” a single day.
