Handle struggles in a healthy way1 min read

One grabs a drink, the other one seeks love while the other wants to be alone. We all handle situations and emotions differently and there is no wrong or right as long you think about the consequences.

Is what you are about to do, solving the problem temporarily? Or for the long term?

Instead, focus on self-care. Once you can accomplish your problems by yourself, and deal with your feelings, you become stronger. Don’t get me wrong, it’s okay to share your feelings with someone and ask for help.

  1. Breath. Don’t respond right away. Check if you are too emotional. Let go of what you can’t control.
  2. Pump up your endorphins and go to the gym.
  3. Take a walk and soak up the fresh air.
  4. Did you eat or drink today?
  5. Meditation, prayer or Mindfourness.
  6. Listen to a podcast.
  7. Never speak badly about yourself.
  8. Call your loved ones and ask them to listen (just remind yourself, if it’s not a professional, your friend will only give advice based on her/his experience or knowledge.

Now apply the one-minute rule. Pick one thing to do and make sure to get up and take action. If you wait longer, the chance is higher you won’t do it

I can’t say this enough. Everything happens for a reason. When one door closes. Something greater is behind another door, waiting for you to come and own it. You got this. Let’s go!
